This Week's Service Projects

This week's service projects are as follows:

• Boys and Girls Club Teen Room; Sat. April 4th from 11:30-4:30pm. Come and go as you please.
• Buying for the Easter Party; Wed. April 1st at 7pm.
• Easter Party at the Convalescent Center; Sun. April 5th from 10-11:30am. The Easter bunny will be there and we will be playing "Pin the Tail on the Bunny" and Easter BINGO!
• Ronald McDonald House; Sun. April 5th. Meet in Mundinger parking lot at 3pm. Should have dinner done by 5:30pm.

“Service, fellowship, and leadership are the three key components of Circle K, and the Teen Room project for the Boys and Girls Club encompasses every one of these outstanding qualities. Our goal is to have every member participate in the Teen Room, which would fulfill service. Fellowship is an important quality that we, as Illinois College students, are developing even more through all of our continuous work on the Teen Room. We are inspiring the teens to become leaders in their Jacksonville community by showing that they can make a difference. The next workday for the Teen Room is on Saturday April 4th from 11:30-4:30. Circle K will be working in conjunction with a leadership fraternity, Alpha Phi Omega, to start painting the room. We will also be working on a cushion to go on the bench by the windows. Some volunteers will work on coming up with other ideas that we could add to the Teen Room. Circle K is expecting to have about ten volunteers and APO will bring about 40 volunteers; therefore, with this amount of help, I think that we will be able to get a great deal accomplished.

• Not only is the Teen Room a great service project for the Illinois College Circle K Club, but it also is a great way for our club to promote fellowship. Over the last month we have all put a tremendous amount of time into the Boys and Girl's Club Teen Room. Our goal is to have all twenty-nine of our members contribute to the project at least once. We hope that our time will be rewarded in the long run by seeing the smiles on students' faces.

Just to catch up the blog IC CKI has begun work with the Boys and Girls Club of Morgan County to help them get a teen room. Work has already begun but here are some possible paint schemes the original photos will be added soon.
